Overview:

The ASE Group is the world's largest provider of independent semiconductor manufacturing test and assembly services. The ASE Kaohsiung plant ships product almost 365 days every year. However, the volume of data generated caused a range of problems, including deficiencies in the accuracy of data archiving and frequent performance issues sparked by bottlenecks. ASE Kaohsiung realized that expanding its server hardware to accommodate this surging demand would impose a heavy financial burden on the business. After purchasing the required hardware, ASE Kaohsiung installed the latest version of its enterprise resource planning system and Oracle Database 10g with Oracle RAC.
