Overview:
Any large company that uses a comprehensive enterprise resource planning (ERP) suite faces a difficult decision when readying new business applications for deployment. The applications must be tested against business transactional data, but real databases are too large and mock databases do not faithfully represent the real thing. Lacking a better way, many a firm has paid the price in terms of failed projects and delayed releases or overblown storage and administrative requirements. But now, as the DuPont Company has learned, there is a better way - if the ERP suite is from SAP and the test environments are prepared using SAP Test Data Migration Server software.
