Overview:

The Ministry of Education is responsible for the provision of education to over 2,600 state and state-integrated schools throughout New Zealand. Many schools were running with inadequate or no anti-virus software, leaving them with little protection against virus infiltration. As a result, many school computers were infected with viruses and vulnerable to security threats. The Ministry of Education e-Learning unit now offers a comprehensive threat management solution to schools in what is believed to be the largest anti-virus and anti-spyware software deployment in the Asia-Pacific region. Teachers and administrators, whether working from school or from home, are now protected from malware.
