Overview:

Like other music and entertainment retailers, Virgin Megastores is endeavoring to cope with the decline in music sales across the industry; customers are not purchasing as many CDs and DVDs as previously. As a result the Megastores are challenged to operate as efficiently as possible and to develop new strategies for luring customers in and inducing them to buy. Virgin Entertainment Group needed to create an engaging environment that immerses customers and drives purchases. Virgin Megastores relies on an MPLS-based IP Virtual Private Network (VPN). AT&T Global Business Solutions, AT&T's consulting organization, designed the IP-based network and conducted site surveys of all store locations to determine their requirements.
