Overview:
This paper presents an evaluation of possible a QoS architecture and the corresponding QoS signalling strategies for next generation networks, being developed inside the IST project Daidalos. The paper addresses the main results achieved in terms of their performance in an experimental testbed developed inside the project. The results provide indications on the expected performance of different signalling strategies for next generation heterogeneous networks.
