Overview:
Based in Norway, two central players in the global oil industry - Statoil and Norsk Hydro oil and gas division - planned to merge businesses. They required a Web site to promote the new brand to key stakeholders, including customers and investors. A team of Statoil developers, along with Microsoft Services and Microsoft Gold Certified Partners Bouvet and BEKK Consulting built a Web solution based on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. Within just four months - and to coincide with the merger - the team launched a fully functional Web site, StatoilHydro.com.
