Overview:
Financial services organisations need to support the rapidly evolving structured products they offer their clients, however, the solutions available can't always keep pace with the demands of the business. Employees working in the risk and trade management market have to contend with resource-intensive, monolithic systems, and frequently resort to using spreadsheets for products that don't fit with existing trading applications. Consequently, process visibility in financial services organisations decreases, which can result in compliance issues. Developers at India-based IT services company HCL Technologies have built two solutions to meet these challenges using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. The HCL team used Excel Services in Office SharePoint Server 2007 and Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003.
