Overview:

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB), in Belton, Texas, is a four-year, liberal arts university chartered in 1845. UMHB's small IT staff, with limited resources, needs to develop advanced applications and services that support the learning experience and allow the school to compete with large higher-education institutions. UMHB deployed with assistance from Dell Services, Dell PowerEdge servers running Microsoft Windows 2003 power a broad range of learning and productivity applications; a Dell/EMC storage infrastructure supports the availability needs of the application architecture; Dell PowerVault tape drives help ensure disaster recovery; 800-plus Dell desktops and notebooks support students, faculty, and staff.
