Present in nearly 140 countries, Accor is Europe's leading hotelier and service provider with over 4,000 hotels representing such brands as Sofitel, Pullman, Novotel, Mercure, Suitehotel, All Seasons, Ibis, Etap Hotel, Formule 1 and Motel 6. Accor wanted to provide the group with the technological momentum to get ahead of its major competitors (Accor 2000 project). The challenge was to support the company's Grand Back project to speed up the production and improve the quality of business data and results. As a solution Accor chose Oracle E-Business Suite for its Web-based technology, facilitating deployment across subsidiaries and countries. The company harmonized financial management processes in the hotel business using Oracle E-Business Suite.
