Overview:
SAP's Enterprise Portal product is a key component of SAP's NetWeaver technology infrastructure. SAP Enterprise Portal delivers web enabled access to business processes and data to the end user. Enterprise Portal is located across the "People Integration" and "Information Integration" layers of the NetWeaver stack. The objective of this paper is to study the behaviour of SAP Enterprise Portal under IBM Java 1.4.2 and AIX 5.3 on POWER5. As Enterprise Portal (EP) is a relatively new and complex product special care is given to discussions on performance and tuning.
