Overview:

Device management pertains to configurations, provisioning client applications, and detecting problems of remote devices from servers. With the dramatic increase in available devices and vendors, various proprietary device management implementations have evolved, and as a result, threaten the interoperability of devices and servers. To avoid this, the OMA Device Management (OMA DM) specification aims to unify them. Learn the concepts of OMA DM, based on the latest version 1.2, and use IBM WebSphere Everyplace Device Manager (Device Manager) 6.0 to illustrate OMA DM server implementation.
