Overview:

Moscow City Government is responsible for delivering universal services to a population of 10.4 million - including police, community safety, education, healthcare, and social services. Accordingly, the government decided to modernise its Novell-based technology with a new standardised operating system to create the foundation for new applications and services. In addition, the mayor of Moscow - responsible for an ambitious e-government transformation programme called "Electronic Moscow" that aims to provide more online transactional services for citizens - wanted to add new functionality. Working with Kraftway Corporation, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in Russia, and Microsoft Services, the government is adding additional functionality for analysis and performance monitoring with several interoperable technologies, including Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003 and Microsoft Operations Manager 2000.
