Overview:
Plexus Corporation is a $1.2 billion Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider that offers its customers the full range of electronic component manufacturing services, from product development to product testing and engineering. Plexus needed to create a common, rational and consolidated infrastructure to support the deployment of a new, global ERP, and wanted to replace its aging, unreliable and expensive-to-maintain application-tier servers with a reliable, cost-efficient solution. Based on the company's experience with Sun architecture in its data center, Plexus chose Sun's newest x64 servers to support its ERP rollout.
