Overview:
The concepts of detecting and monitoring faults in a self-healing environment are examined. The Nagios faultdetection system is evaluated and its self-healing capabilities researched. This paper outlines possibilities of interconnecting Nagios with other applications in order to further facilitate and automate recovery after service failures. This paper examines how the Nagios monitoring application is able to provide solutions for the self-healing problem space.
