Overview:
Whether upgrading to new hardware or a new version of IBM Director, it is often desirable to bring up and test a new IBM Director Server before migrating monitoring to it. This paper describes several considerations and processes to assist in this migration. This paper deals solely with upgrading the IBM Director Server itself by migrating to another physical server. The intent of this paper is to provide information on migrating with minimal impact to the managed agents during the upgrade process.
