The purpose of this paper is to provide technical guidelines concerning the configuration of the secondary DS8000 in a Global Mirror configuration. The configuration of the disk subsystem at the remote or secondary location is an important consideration to ensure the optimum performance of a Global Mirror environment. This paper will address several aspects of proper configuration planning of the Global Mirror secondary.
