Overview:
In the Jump-start Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) series, one is introduced to important concepts related to monitoring and improving the business performance of an organization. BAM can provide visibility into the performance of business activities by processing events, calculating business metrics, and presenting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through business dashboards. Users can track current business performance by comparing actual performance with expectations and goals, which allows for the analysis of trends over time. BAM can also help when something goes wrong, as well as in situations when expectations are not met. BAM can help make an organization aware of potential problems early on, allowing for a directed action to be planned and carried out.
