Overview:
T-Systems is the IT services provider that manages the technology infrastructure of cellular carrier T-Mobile. A division of Deutsche Telekom along with T-Mobile, T-Systems decided to increase the security of high-level administrative passwords. This decision came at the same time that T-Systems was looking for technology to help control costs through more streamlined IT operations. T-Systems found a solution by becoming an early adopter of Windows Server 2008, which it is deploying on new server hardware. With Windows Server 2008, T-Systems anticipates improved security for user accounts, a greater ability to track any changes made to its Active Directory domains, and reduced IT costs through improved administrative tools.
