Overview:

The Rockingham County Attorney's office prosecutes criminal cases in the county, including cyber infractions, yet the domain controller they were using for day-to-day business was, if not a crime, at least erratic and unpredictable. This was no way to run a department focused on legal matters. The group needed a faster domain controller. The office of Rockingham County Attorney is not an organization that typically moves toward cutting-edge technology. They tend to be conservative in their IT choices, selecting practical products with a reliable history. The Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Paradigm IT Group, has managed the IT needs for the office for years. So when Paradigm recommended installing Windows Server 2008 on a new Dell PowerEdge III server, the County Attorney's office agreed.
