Overview:

Convergent Computing (CCO), a consulting company and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, uses its 21 years of experience with industry-standard best-practice guidelines to help its clients maximize their computing systems' efficiency. In early 2007, a CCO client wanted to expand its enterprise-wide computing system by adding hardware server computers and IT personnel, but it ran out of physical space and incurred increased costs to maintain system performance. After a discussion about the benefits of virtualization, CCO migrated 90 percent of the client's software applications to a virtual server environment based on Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2. As a result, CCO reduced the client's overhead costs by 60 percent, and increased system performance and the client's productivity by 15 to 20 percent.
