Overview:

Melio cluster file system and SAN storage greatly increases the flexibility of Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2, enables to migrate applications across physical hosts in response to changes in load, or to maintain availability when hardware maintenance is required. Using Sanbolic software and SAN storage, all Virtual Hard Disk (.vhd) files and XML configuration files for Virtual Server 2005 R2 instances can reside on shared block storage and be available to multiple physical host servers. The shared access to the file allows machine state to be quickly migrated across servers. The virtual machines can also be clustered across physical hosts, and each machine can be independently failed over to another host using Microsoft Server Clustering.
