Overview:

The company Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) wanted to provide a new, high-profile government department with an end-to-end converged networking solution capable of supporting Dubai's rapidly expanding transport infrastructure. Nortel provided a complete communications solution. At its foundation are switches from the highly resilient Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch portfolio, with the Nortel Communication Server 1000 delivering IP telephony services. Highly secure mobility is provided by the Nortel WLAN 2300 portfolio and remote access via the Nortel VPN Router. Proactive security is ensured through Nortel Application Switches and the Nortel Threat Protection System.
