Overview:

The recent announcement of the intended acquisition of UGS by Siemens AG has generated an explosion of discussion about the impact that this move could have on both companies involved and on the PLM industry in general. This paper is not intended to assess the acquisition itself because much has already been written about the anticipated impact on the involved companies.
