Overview:

The Kuwait Authority for Civil Information (PACI) required a Web-based authentication gateway to verify the identity of citizens online. It is to be used by both public sector organizations including banks and telecommunications providers through a simple browser interface. e-Pin is a web service developed for PACI by MCS. This service enables government and commercial businesses to verify the identity information for each citizen or resident of Kuwait to perform a wide range of e-government and e-business web services. The Microsoft .NET Framework and Microsoft Visual Studio .NET were used to develop the tool which is protected by Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server supported by Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Edition.
