Overview:

Suncor Energy Inc. is a rapidly growing $11 billion integrated energy company headquartered in Alberta, Canada. With a multi-billion dollar operational expansion project in progress, Suncor Energy needed to cost effectively and seamlessly upgrade their network infrastructure to address advanced application demands and skyrocketing bandwidth requirements. Nortel put in place a Quality of Service-capable network that allows Suncor to take advantage of VoIP technology more reliably and cost effectively, while providing the flexibility to meet their future growth requirements. The solution included IP-enabling their Nortel Meridian 1 PBX and deploying Nortel IP Phone 2004, Passport 8600 Routing Switches, and Business Policy Switch 2000s.
