Overview:

Based in Pune, India, Behr India Limited designs and manufactures advanced Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) units for the automotive industry. With diverse operating systems, server platforms and applications, Behr India found its expansion plans were hindered by rising IT costs. The company's decentralised data storage presented a risk to the business, and existing systems were not easily scaled up to meet new customer demands. Working with IBM Business Partner CMS Computers, Behr India selected IBM IntelliStation POWER 285 Express workstations running IBM AIX 5L, IBM System i5 platform running XPPS ERP solutions with DB2 database, IBM System x servers running Red Hat Linux, and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Application Servers.
