Overview:

One of 32 London boroughs, Haringey is a multicultural area that covers 11 square miles and serves 224,000 residents, who speak 149 languages. Haringey Council was providing an inconsistent first contact service to its residents and risked missing key government targets and initiatives. The council, in response, launched a major IT initiative designed to improve the level of service delivered to Haringey residents. After careful research, the council selected Oracle's Siebel Public Sector applications to streamline management of resident queries on key issues, such as council taxes, benefits, housing, education, and environmental health. Since implementation the council has migrated more than 60% of constituent contacts to the Web while cutting average call times by 14%.
