Overview:

ING Asia/Pacific's Investment Management division was looking for a flexible data gathering and reporting tool. In addition, its Japanese operations needed a data warehouse that could capture, consolidate, store, and compute vast amounts of data for analysis and decision-making activities. To meet its growing reporting and analysis challenges, ING Asia/Pacific implemented Oracle's Hyperion Essbase as its main source of information for internal and external reporting. Today, the division uses Hyperion Essbase to analyze the profitability of distribution channels, drill down on key performance indicators, and analyze forward-looking metrics.
