Overview:

Founded in 1972 as the Unification Theology School, Sun Moon University is now one of the largest tertiary education institutions in Korea. Sun Moon University was among the first Korean educational institutions to leverage technology to distribute and share information. In 2003, it used Oracle Application Server to build a staff portal that provided access to critical data and resources. Buoyed by the positive feedback and significant improvements in productivity, in 2006 the university decided to upgrade to Oracle Application Server 10g and extend access to the portal to students. The improved portal, accessed through a single sign-on, delivers customized content to students, staff, and academics, and provides access to resources such as a digital library and Web mail.
