In this InformIT article, Scott Fulton discusses the concept of Address Space Load Randomization (ASLR) and how this works in Windows Server 2008. In addition, the article covers Windows Hardware Error Architecture (WHEA), a standard protocol whereby attached hardware registers problems with the operating system, sending an alert which eventually makes its way to the server admin.
