Sandoz Products SA's pharmaceutical division, the local operations largest division, believes SAP R/3 will permit it to offer value-added services to its clients, giving it a definite competitive edge. The company selected R/3 because of its superior functionality, performance, scalability and the tight integration of the various modules. The decision to go the SAP R/3 route received further endorsement when Sandoz Basle announced that R/3 was to become the new corporate standard for financial and logistical applications.
