Overview:

The world's largest enterprise software company, Oracle develops software for data management, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and supply chain planning. Oracle has offices in more than 145 countries around the world and 68,000 employees. The company needed much more I/O bandwidth. Log data comes in fast. They needed faster storage, and a lot more of it. The logical decision was to move to a Fibre Channel SAN architecture to provide an immediate boost in performance. As Oracle GIT began to evaluate Fibre Channel solutions, it became clear that NetApp was one key vendor that Oracle GIT should consider.
