Overview:

Ampacet is a specialty chemical manufacturer and is one of the world's largest masterbatch producers with global Research and Development (R&D) facilities. Each of its five R&D facilities has its own product development process. Because these processes had little or no consistency, there was no accurate way to track projects, which limited global product innovation. Ampacet wanted to accelerate product development through better collaboration, increased process automation, and more consistent workflows. It deployed a companywide product development solution based on products from the 2007 Microsoft Office system and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
