Overview:
Canon Europe is one of the three regional head offices of the Japanese company Canon Inc., one of the world's largest suppliers of office machines, cameras, and advanced optical equipment. As IT requirements continued to increase, a number of problems arose, primarily in the areas of management, backup, and disaster recovery. Although labor-intensive and inefficient, these processes were becoming increasingly important. As a result, the decentralized environment incurred a fairly high total cost of ownership (TCO). As a solution Canon Europe migrated to a Network Appliance Unified IP SAN and NAS environment.
