Customer Loyalty Programs (CLP) has come a long way from their early beginnings in the 1970's. Conceptualized with the original idea of gaining a better understanding about popular routes for airliners, CLPs have evolved to become a subject of wider corporate aspirations and challenges. The success of CLPs depends on two factors - a differentiating concept behind the program, reflecting corporate aspirations, and a solution capable of addressing technology challenges, reflecting corporate concerns.
