Overview:

Virgin Entertainment Group operates Virgin Megastores, one of the largest entertainment media retail specialty chains in the United States. Virgin wanted to increase the effectiveness of its store managers and product buyers by giving them flexible tools to analyze inventory, sales, and store-traffic data. The company considered mainframe-based software, but instead chose Analysis Team and Xavor to build a business intelligence solution based on Microsoft Windows Server System software and integrated using the Microsoft .NET Framework. The solution collects data from the company's inventory, traffic, and point-of-sale systems for real-time data analysis.
