Overview:

Beginning with Mosaic and static HTML, the power of the web has been its ability to display data for users across the world in a clean and simple way. The creation of CSS for specifying presentation helped to enable the separation of structure from layout, and has coincided with the push for better web standards. Asynchronous Javascript and XML (Ajax), is the next tool in a line of technologies meant to improve the Internet user's experience through the creation of rich web applications. Although some proponents claim that it will revolutionize the web, it is in fact a simple framework which represents the next step forward for the constantly adapting web.
