Overview:

In October of 2002, Compuware Corporation team started development on a new tool for .Net developers - DevPartner Memory Analysis. It would allow developers to track down problem areas in their code relating to memory leaks, object lifetime and memory allocations, right inside Visual Studio. It was Compuware Corporation lab's first product written using C#. Compuware Corporation chose to do the entire UI in C# and much of the internals because we had a very short development cycle and an ambitious set of goals and believed that .Net could help the company get done faster.
