Overview:
Quadrem is the primary electronic marketplace for the worldwide mining, minerals, metals, oil, and gas industries. It brings together natural resources companies and thousands of suppliers to simplify the procurement process needed to keep supplies flowing to tens of thousands of employees in hundreds of remote locations. In July 2002, Quadrem set out to replace a multilanguage, mission-critical e-commerce application that was expensive to operate and poorly regarded by customers. The objective was to reduce operating costs while improving performance and ease of use. The new application, SupplyCentre, is built on the Microsoft .NET Framework and offers customers dramatically improved performance and greater ease of use.
