Overview:

Inter-Tel operates through a network of 59 company-owned, direct sales offices and more than 350 authorized providers in North America, as well as through 60 resellers in Europe. The company wanted to provide partners with a Web-enabled sales channel tool, allowing them to place self-service orders, check order status, and review related accounting transactions. The challenge was to upgrade order and accounting processes to sustain sales growth and improve dealer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate responses to dealer requests. Inter-Tel implemented Oracle E-Business Suite applications to create a centralized customer service and order management system that expanded customer support and improved operational efficiency and increased customer adoption of Web orders by 80%, driving down administrative costs.
