Overview:

The role of IT is changing rapidly as organisations become more complex. IT teams are no longer seen as suppliers of infrastructure, but rather as people who actively support an organisation's overall business objectives. This makes the quality of IT services - and the synchronisation of these services with an organisation's needs - essential. Touchpaper, an independent software vendor based in the United Kingdom, has created the IT Business Management (ITBM) suite to increase help desk efficiency, drive growth, and improve customer satisfaction. After examining new elements in Windows Vista, Touchpaper decided to use the system as the basis for a console within its IT Service Management (ITSM) solution, part of its ITBM suite. This was developed using the Microsoft .NET Framework and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.
