Overview:
Credit Mutuel's Information Technology Group (GICM) needed to upgrade from an aging desktop environment and reduce the burden on its branch servers. GICM selected the Windows Vista operating system for the bank's 12,000 employee workstations. With the new operating system in place, managers expect a more secure network environment and simplified IT administration, allowing more productive use of IT staff. GICM users will work with a new, more user-friendly interface in an environment with enhanced security. Meanwhile, by relying on a Microsoft computing environment, GICM expects to minimize the migration's disruption to its business.
