Overview:
MOSIX Version 2 (MOSIX2) for Linux-2.6 is a management system for clusters and organizational grids. Its main feature is to make all the participating nodes perform like a single computer with multiple processors, almost like an SMP. In a MOSIX system, users can run applications by creating multiple processes, then let MOSIX seek resources and automatically migrate processes among nodes to improve the overall performance, without changing the run-time environment of migrated processes. MOSIX is implemented as a software layer that provides applications with an unmodified Linux run-time environment. Therefore, there is no need to change or even link applications with any special library.
