Overview:
The HP StorageWorks All-in-One Storage System includes a software tool that greatly simplifies the task of migrating application storage to the All-in-One Storage System. The software tool provisions iSCSI-based storage on the All-in-One Storage System for use by an application, such as Exchange and SQL Server. The software tool is called All-in-One Storage Manager (ASM). A limitation of ASM is that it is not designed to roll back, or undo, the storage provisioning process it performs to create storage on the All-in-One Storage System. This paper describes how to manually roll back the storage provisioning process performed by ASM using the standard interfaces provided by Microsoft Windows and HP StorageWorks.
