Located in Maribor, Slovenia, Informatika is a specialist outsourcing company offering IT services to the five regional electricity generation and distribution companies in Slovenia. The company wanted to offer customers highly-secure access to their account data via the Internet; reduce cost of billing customers for electricity consumption; keep total cost of ownership low; implement a scalable solution. As a solution the company implemented StoneGate Firewall V2.2.3 from Stonesoft Software, Inc., running on Linux in a z/VM partition on IBM eServer zSeries 900.
