Overview:
The Government of Maharashtra (GoM) was keen on modernising its IT and administrative network infrastructure and at the same time was studying the cost-effectiveness of implementing Web-based systems for its egovernance set-up. The GoM has implemented a cost-effective Linux-based project that has integrated all the administrative functions at 'Mantralaya', making work operations almost paperless, faster, online, more efficient and accessible to people.
