Overview:

Schneider Electric offers its customers more than 100,000 products that are assembled to create complex electrical components such as distribution boxes. Technology applications guide customers through the corporate catalogue and help them select the products they need. To create new client-facing applications and increase interactivity, the company decided to deploy a new development environment based on the Microsoft .NET Framework and Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. The new system supports faster development with fewer bugs. In addition, catalogues can be modified for product requirements in different countries and presented in local languages with no significant redevelopment work.
