Overview:

The Government of Andhra Pradesh launched an online citizen services portal in March 2002. APOnline Limited, a joint venture between the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Tata Consultancy Services Limited, designed, developed, deployed, and maintains the portal. APOnline is spearheading the e-governance movement in India. It provides citizen services in the areas of health, education, agriculture, government services, and business. By delivering a wide range of Government-to-Government (G2G) services from APOnline, the government has improved transparency and accountability and reduced delivery cycles, thereby reducing cost of compliance with governmental regulations. The portal applications are built on the Microsoft .NET Framework and hosted on Microsoft Windows Server System integrated server software.
