Overview:
This white paper introduces User Created Contents (UCC), search engine, and HSDPA-based video services in Japan.
Similar development is expected to occur in Korea, where the UCC business model, currently led by the wired platform operators, will soon expand to mobile phone based wireless platforms. And as the vitalization of the search engines continues, being linked with the existing LBS services, various kinds of search engine services will be introduced in Korea. Also, the competition between SKT and KTF, the two major carriers in Korea, is expected to boost the expansion of such services as video calling and video mailing.
