Overview:
Leumi Card offers credit cards, prepaid cards, and other financial services to more than 1.2 million customers in Israel. In 2006, faced with rapid growth, the company needed to expand and better manage its server computer resources and improve server performance but without investing heavily in new hardware. In response, Leumi Card deployed Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 to increase hardware utilization and enable IT staff to rapidly configure new servers. The company also deployed Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 to better control both virtual and physical servers. Now, Leumi Card gets more performance from its existing hardware and saves money by deferring new hardware purchases and avoiding related maintenance expenses.
